PIANO LESSONS HELSINKI
“Over the past 12 years, I have given piano lessons both privately and at the International School of Music in Helsinki, Finland. It makes me proud that my students are of various ages, levels, and nationalities and that I have successfully prepared them for exams, competitions, festivals, and auditions. Extensive experience with students from different backgrounds has also helped me understand the psychological side of teaching.”
-Mindaugas Neverovas

-Eliot, piano student, 12

PIANO TEACHING PHILOSOPHY
Mindaugas’s strength as a piano teacher is understanding each student as an individual, developing their skills, and encouraging them to find creativity through their individual expression. His piano lessons encourage students to become more independent learners and to read scores competently. What sets him apart is his ability to break down and explain complex musical passages – many of which he, too, has studied in the past.
In his work, he focuses on keeping an open mind to musical experimentation. Easily excited, he is always looking for new ways to develop his skills and inspire his students to discover new aspects of music. He teaches with a positive attitude and ensures progress.
Mindaugas’s piano lessons revolve around the interpretation of music, the production of sound, the importance of effective learning and practice strategies, as well as correct posture. He provides his students with a variety of tasks and ways to memorise music, improve sight-reading skills, and understand music theory through playing. The teaching of popular music and free accompaniment is available upon request. Read his piano students reviews here.
CERTIFIED PIANO TEACHER
During his piano and pedagogical studies at the Sibelius Academy, Mindaugas attained a scientific perspective on music and piano pedagogy. Getting acquainted with Finnish music education in different contexts has given him a broad understanding of the work of a piano teacher.
Aylin, one of Mindaugas' students, was successfully admitted into the Sibelius Academy junior department in Helsinki, Finland.
Mindaugas is dedicated to helping as many pianists as possible, which is why he publishes his own piano tutorial vlog on YouTube.
